凯里学院简介

A Brief Introduction to Kaili University

学校坐落于贵州省黔东南苗族侗族自治州首府凯里市，这里素有“森林之州”、“歌舞之州”的美誉，被称为“人类疲惫心灵的最后家园”和“人类最友善的旅游目的地”。黔东南历史悠久、民风淳朴，少数民族能歌善舞，以“百节之乡”著称于世。

Kaili University (KLU) is located in Kaili City, the capital of Qiandongnan Miao and Dong Autonomous Prefecture. Kaili is known as "the land of forests" and "the land of folk songs and dance". Kaili also enjoys the reputation of "the home to exhausted souls" and "the friendliest destination in the world". Qiandongnan acclaimed is home to over 100 festivals, with a long history, and the local ethnic groups are excellent singers and dancers.

凯里学院源于1958年成立的黔东南大学，2006年经教育部批准升格为普通本科院校。作为地方综合性公办高校，实行“省州共建共管、以州为主”的管理体制。

KLU, originally known as Guizhou South-Eastern University founded in 1958, was elevated into a University for undergraduate students with the approval of the Ministry of Education in 2006. As a comprehensive University run by the state, it adopts an administration system characterized by the ideal “Under the guidance of both the province and the prefecture with the latter as a leading force".

学院占地面积1676亩，校舍建筑面积32万平方米,教学科研仪器设备总值11179万元，建有千兆校园网，图书馆藏书98万册、电子图书182万种。bg真人官方现有满足各种教学需要的实验室62个，实训基地120多个，体育场馆5个。学校现有教职工934人，其中教授114人、副教授342人、博士115人。现设有15个教学分院，50个本科专业（方向），全日制在校生11444人。

KLU covers an area of 1676 mu, with a building area of 320, 000㎡. It owns plenty of teaching research equipment which are worth 1,117,900,00RMB, a campus network with a speed of 1000 Gbps per second, a collection of 980,000 books in our library and 1,820,000 e-books. KLU meets the various needs for teaching, including 62 teaching laboratories, 120 training centers and 5 gyms. There are 934 staff members, of whom there are 114 professors, 342 associate professors, 115 teachers with a PhD. KLU consists of 15 colleges, offering 50 undergraduate programs. At present, there are 11,444 full-time students.

bg真人官方高度重视校园文化建设，本着“依托原汁原味黔东南，展示多姿多彩民族风”的理念，整合地区文化资源，在弘扬主旋律、培育学校特色上下功夫，找到了一条“办特色之校、育特质之才”的校园文化建设之路，并取得了优异成绩。在2008年全国高校校园文化建设优秀成果评选中，bg真人官方获教育部高校校园文化建设成果优秀奖，是贵州省四所获奖高校之一，也是唯一的一所地方院校。

KLU attaches great importance to campus culture. Based on the idea of showing the uniqueness of Qiandongnan’s ethnic cultures, we have achieved excellent results. In 2008, KLU won the National College Campus Cultural Excellence Award, making KLU the only community supported college in Guizhou to gain such an honor.

2006年以来，学校获得纵向科研课题立项共623项，其中，国家级31项，省部级164项，出版专著、教材121部，发表科研论文3649篇，其中核心期刊及CSSCI收录论文共890篇，SCI、EI等国际权威学术文献收录75篇。2011年bg真人官方与贵州大学、中山大学联合获得国家社科基金重大招标项目《清水江文书整理与研究》立项，科研工作取得重大突破。

Since 2006, KLU has obtained 623 items of the longitudinal research topic project, among which, 31 are national and 164 provincial level, and published 121 monographs and textbooks, 3,649 research papers, which contains a total of 890 papers published in core journals and included by CSSCI, moreover, 75 papers collected by SCI, EI or other international authoritative academic journals. In 2011, funded by the National Social Science, Sun yat-sen University and KLU won an important bidding project, Sorting and Conducting Research on Qingshuijiang Documentation.

学校秉承开放办学的原则，强化产学研深度合作。目前与济南大学、宁波大学、天津音乐学院、西南交通大学、北京语言大学、杭州师范大学、扬州大学、北京建筑大学、中山职业技术学院等国内高校建立了合作关系，同时与美国佩斯大学、泰国苏南拉里理工大学、泰国四色菊皇家大学、马来西亚北方大学、日本3所高校以及台湾7所高校取得联系，并协助bg真人官方签署合作办学协议。bg真人官方从1992年开始招收外国留学生，现有留学生83人，他们分别来自美国、德国、新西兰、奥地利、加拿大、韩国、老挝和泰国。

With the principle of building an Open University, and the idea of strengthening industry-university-research cooperation, KLU has established cooperation with such domestic universities as University of Jinan, Ningbo University, Tianjin Conservatory of Music, Southwest Jiaotong University, Beijing Language and Culture University, Hangzhou Normal University, Yangzhou University, Beijing University of Architecture, Zhongshan Vocational-technical School etc. Meanwhile, it also has signed agreements with universities abroad like Pace University of the United States, Surannaree University of Technology of Thailand, Sisaket Rhajaba University of Thailand, Northern University of Malaysia, 4 Universities of Japan and 7 Universities of Taiwan for intercollegiate and cooperation. Since 1992 KLU has been successfully recruiting international students from the United States, Germany, New Zealand，Austria, Canada, South Korea，Laos and Thailand.
